It gives me an immense pleasure to bear testimony to the ability of Mr. xyz
who joined our department of Botanical & Environmental Sciences ABC
University, India by getting 3rd position in all India entrance examination
conducted by our department for admission to M.Sc (Botany) program. He completed his
Master’s with First division in the year 2005 securing 72.6% marks.
Mr. xyz has a good academic score throughout with first division at his high school,
and 69% at the completion of his Bachelor’s degree. He had been my student for the
courses Mathematical Biology, Ecological Modelling & Remote Sensing and Statistical
Ecology & environmental Management. He got good scores in all these courses ranging
from 70 to 96%. He was one of my best students I have ever taught during my
professional career of 26 years.
As far as academic abilities are concerned, Mr. xyz is among the top five students of
his class in not only my papers, but across the board in other papers too. He is punctual,
hard working and very sincere in his studies, well versed with subject and has proficiency
in the use of computers and sophisticated instruments. He delivered seminars on the latest
trends in Life Sciences. Mr. xyz has been actively participating in the debates and
other academic activities. Beside this, He also posses the talent to innovate programs.
xyz shows excellent acumen for rigorous research from the manner he approaches
learning, problems and analyses. I was very impressed by his contribution in the Goa
Bio-diversity project I handled.
I am sure xyz will do very well in a career that demands analytical skills and
high intellectual rigor and in that sense; his decision to go for research is apt. From
whatever I have seen of him, I have no doubt that xyz is a strong applicant for
your MS program at Dept. of Ecology at Montana state university, Bozeman. I strongly
